We are thrilled to finally unveil the visual identity and theme for the Philippines’ 2025 Guest of Honour presentation at the Frankfurt Book Fair: “The Imagination Peoples the Air.”
During the press conference in the Frankfurt Pavilion on October 17, we shared an exciting glimpse into the rich literary and cultural showcase the Philippines will bring to the global stage. This milestone is not just a presentation of books but a celebration of Filipino genius, creativity, and culture — from our pre-colonial oral traditions to the contemporary voices shaping our nation’s narrative today.
This important participation is the result of my collaborative efforts with NBDB and NCCA. I also would like to recognize the contributions of Karina Bolasco, our book curator, whose expertise ensures that our literary heritage is well represented, and Patrick Flores, curator of the Philippine Pavilion, who will weave together a powerful narrative of Filipino culture through art, design, and literature. Together with the rest of the hardworking and dedicated Philippine GoH team, we will present the depth and diversity of Filipino ingenuity to the global audience.
As we embark on this exciting journey toward the Philippines’ participation as the Guest of Honour in the Frankfurter Buchmesse 2025, let us continue to stand united in promoting and celebrating our cultural heritage.
