Legarda: Dams Should Control, Not Worsen Flooding

Senator Loren Legarda today reminded the National Power Corporation (NAPOCOR), which is in charge of managing 22 water dams in the country, to ensure that protocols on dam water releases effectively control, not worsen, flooding.

Senator Loren Legarda announced today that the Senate has adopted Senate Resolution No. 735, commending the collaborative efforts of the provincial government of Davao Oriental, its citizens and the Protected Area Management Board in conserving the Mount Hamiguitan Range Wildlife Sanctuary.
