Legarda: We Must Develop a Culture of Safety and Preparedness

Senator Loren Legarda today said that the nation should develop a culture of safety and preparedness to help prevent natural hazards from turning into disasters.
 
Legarda made the statement as she commended the efforts of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the local government units (LGUs), and all the organizations, institutions, businesses, and individuals that joined the metro-wide earthquake drill yesterday (July 30). IP beneficiaries get health insurance

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — Households belonging to Indigenous People or Ips, who are living in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDA) could now avail themselves of the National Health Insurance Program benefits from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation.

A MEASURE that increases the number of areas to be protected and conserved by declaring them national parks has passed third and final reading on Tuesday at the Senate.
