Pinya at patadyong!
I decided to wear my beloved patadyong as part of my OOTD to stress the importance of supporting local fabrics in the country.
This is a handwoven patadyong wrap-around skirt paired with piña barong. Puey Quiñones, one of my volunteers who helped with my campaign postering in Northern Samar during the 1998 elections, now a renowned designer, did this pair of masterpieces.
While my work at the Senate requires me to be 100% dedicated, I take this light moment as a reminder of my love for our culture and to intensify my focus on supporting the rich heritage of our beloved Philippines.
