We had a productive meeting with our SUC presidents and officials from Zamboanga, BARMM, Cebu, and CARAGA, together with CHED Commissioner Jo Mark Libre.
I have always believed in the adage that knowledge is power; with that, we have long highlighted the role of education in nation-building.
As your Senator, we worked hard to ensure that our SUCs will have sufficient funding and support. For this year, we are able to give financial assistance to our deserving students through Tulong Dunong Program. We also funded research and development projects of SUCs, especially those pertaining to preserving our culture and heritage.
I am also glad to know that the Center of Culture and the Arts in Sulu State College, which we funded during my third term as Senator, can now hold educational activities.
As your senator advocating for quality and excellent education for Filipinos, I will continue to support our SUCs and all our “iskolar ng bayan.”
