It has been an honor to work with H.E. Luc Véron, Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines whose tour of duty in the country is about to end. Our strong partnership have led to the revival of the PH-EU parliamentary dialogue.
It was under his watch when this representation joined the Philippine Senators on a visit to the European Parliament in Brussels in 2022.
Sharing the same advocacies in peace negotiations and fostering socio-economic development of our nations, the Ambassador commended my role in sponsoring the PH-EU Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) at the Senate in 2018. With this, I was conferred by the EU an Award of Distinction in 2019 for my role in the process of the ratification of the Framework Agreement.
As he embarks on his next chapter, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for his service and friendship to the Filipino people. I wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavors. Bon voyage, Ambassador Véron!
