On June 13, I had a productive meeting with Chargé d’affaires Denys Mykhailiuk who heads the Embassy of Ukraine in Malaysia.
We discussed the strengthening of Philippine-Ukraine bilateral relations, the importance of food security, and explored ways to help alleviate the current situation in Ukraine. As the President and Founding Member of several parliamentary friendship groups and associations, I believe in collaboration and nations working together in order to achieve peace and common goals.
I proposed the creation of a parliamentary friendship group between the Philippines and Ukraine. I am hopeful that a parliamentary friendship group will serve as an effective avenue for cooperation, success, and growth for our two countries.
