Hearing of the 2025 proposed budget of the Presidential Communications Office and its attached agencies and corporations (October 03, 2024)

Our barangays are the backbone of our communities, and it’s essential that they are empowered through clear and effective communication.

During the 2025 budget briefing of the Presidential Communications Office and its attached agencies and corporations, we emphasized that our Barangay Information Network must be more than just a plan on paper—it requires effective implementation with clearly defined roles for our barangay information officers.

Communication also plays a crucial role in disaster preparedness. We must ensure that lessons learned from the Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) initiatives are effectively shared with our local government units and barangays. It’s essential that these communications are simplified, science-based, and translated into local dialects for better understanding at the grassroots level.

I remain committed to utilizing all platforms to inform our communities about crucial government programs. Effective communication is half the battle won, and together, we can ensure that no one is left behind.
