First session break of the Third Regular Session of the 19th Congress

As we pause for a brief Senate session break, let me share our remarkable progress for our beloved nation. We have been hard at work, and I am proud to highlight the significant achievements before our first session break of the Third Regular Session of the 19th Congress.

We’ve successfully pursued enacting the New Government Procurement Act or RA 12009, which I co-authored and co-sponsored. This measure ensures transparency, competitiveness, efficiency, and accountability in the procurement process.
The Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act, which I co-authored and sponsored, was also signed into law. This will enhance consumer protection by implementing robust protection for our citizens’ accounts.

In the Senate, we passed the Loss and Damage Fund Board Bill, the Blue Economy Bill, and the Bacoor Assembly of 1898 Act.
It was also an honor to be appointed Commissioner for the Second Congressional Commission on Education (EDCOM2).
These legislative milestones reflect our dedication to a prosperous, culturally vibrant, and ecologically sustainable Philippines. We are only just beginning, and together, we will continue to shape a brighter future for our nation.
