Started my Monday morning right with the untying of the in-house archival exhibit titled “Espacio e Imperio: Mindanao and the Restructuring of Colonial Spaces for Empire.”
I have always advocated for the preservation and documentation of history and with the recent passage of Cultural Mapping Law, the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) will be the center of it all.
Congratulations to NAP and Chair Ino Manalo for this successful exhibit that showcases records pertaining to Mindanao and Sulu from the Spanish Documents Section (SDS) Collection.
Visit this collection located in The Metropolitan Theater, Manila until February 2024 and have a glimpse on how Mindanao looked in the past.
