With my fellow members of the Bicameral Conference Committee, we convened today to reconcile the disagreeing provisions of HBN 8980, the General Appropriations Bill for Fiscal Year 2024.
As Senior Vice Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance, I am committed to ensuring that the final version of the budget reflects the priorities of the Filipino people and promotes sustainable and inclusive economic growth. We will work diligently to reach a consensus on the disagreeing provisions, guided by the principles of transparency, accountability, and prudence.
I am confident that we will be able to deliver a budget that will benefit all Filipinos. ??????
