I delivered a Keynote Address at the Asian Conference on Climate Change and Disaster Resilience (ACCCDR) in the Asian Institute of Management. I stressed the significance of a whole-of-nation approach in dealing with the effects of climate change, which the Philippines remained as one of the most vulnerable countries in the world.
The task of developing resilience is immense, but it can be overcome. It is crucial to prioritize investments in research and innovation. It is important for each community member to understand and be actively involved in local efforts to prepare, respond, and recover. This includes investing in education, healthcare, and strong infrastructure in vulnerable areas, so they can endure the impacts of climate change and quickly recover from disasters.
Para sa Pilipinas, sikapin nating iangat ang katatagan ng bawat isa laban sa mga banta at panganib ng nagbabagong klima.
