On Sunday, at the closing of the Negros trade fair, I joined rural micro enterprises from Negros Occidental. This year’s theme, ‘AMUMA,’ showcases the multifaceted richness of Negrense Culture. Defined by their generosity, heartfelt hospitality, and warmth, the Negrenses truly exemplifies the essence of ‘Amuma’ – to nurture, foster, and care.
As I visited the booths, I was captivated by the meticulous craftsmanship, from apparel to housewares to delectable local treats, including freshly made piaya! The use of natural materials like abaca, tikog, bamban, bamboo, cogon provide sustainable livelihood to people. Yes, I will always support the Negros trade fair!
