In today’s session, we honor one of our colleagues, Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, for his outstanding service and unwavering dedication to the Philippines.
Since stepping into the Senate in 2013, he has been diligently working on meaningful legislation that addresses the struggles of our people. His leadership as Chair of the Committee on Finance, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, has been extraordinary. As he transitions to his new role as Secretary of the Department of Education, I have full confidence in his ability to drive meaningful reforms and elevate our education system.
We will miss your sharp mind and effortless hard work in the Senate, but we stand with you, ready to support your mission for the welfare of our learners and the entire nation.
