It is with deep sadness that I mourn the passing of Manlilikha ng Bayan Federico Caballero, a revered epic chanter of the Panay-Bukidnon Sugidanon.
My sincere condolences to the family and the Panay-Bukidon community of Nong Pedring. We have lost a National Treasure, but I am hoping that his legacy will continue to inspire future generations. I commit to preserving the chants and traditions, he so lovingly safeguarded, to the best of my resources, time, and capability.
