The scholars of the Sustainable Leadership Learning for Climate and Disaster Risk Reduction (SLL-CDRR) have formalized their scholarship agreement with the Climate Change Commission (CCC), represented by Secretary Robert E.A. Borje, as well as the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), led by President Jikyeong Kang. This event took place on September 18, 2024, at the Aboitiz Techspace, Asian Instititute of Management (AIM).
The SLL-CDRR program offers full scholarships to AIM’s Executive Master in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management (EMDRCM) program. The 18 recipients of scholarship comprise of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officers in local government units, women leaders in climate emergency response, leaders from indigenous groups, and sustainability champions in national government agencies.
This initiative of mine, in collaboration with the CCC and AIM, seeks to cultivate a new generation of leaders in climate and disaster resilience, equipping them with the skills necessary for effective disaster risk and crisis management.
