In celebration of International Mother Earth Day 2024, my Office and the Climate Change Commission, in partnership with The Climate Reality Project – Philippines held a forum and panel session titled “Filipina Changemakers: Champions for Climate Resilience”. Furthermore, we witnessed the “RewriteCOP” campaign highlighting the urgency of the climate crisis and the diverse pathways to resilient futures.
This forum focused on topics that are close and dear to my heart: the convergence of policymaking, science and the arts, and the vital role of women in shaping our country and building our climate resilience. As we celebrate Filipina changemakers who are leading the charge in combating climate change and building resilient communities, let us reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where women and girls are given the chance to realize their potential.
