Today, I led the budget briefing of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) as a preparatory step for the hearing of the DFA budget later on this month. I share the DFA’s commitment in consistently enhancing the Philippines’ standing on a global stage and in efficiently responding to the needs of our kababayans both locally and internationally.
We had a worthwhile exchange on the importance and benefits of a strong international image to our trade, culture, tourism, diplomatic relations, and the protection of our country’s interests.
I am in favor of the DFA’s budget which is aimed at strengthening our global relations, strengthening our security, and promoting the well-being of all Filipinos.
