After a fine showing at the 56th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia in 2015, the Patrick Flores-curated “Tie A String Around The World” exhibit has come home.
“Tie a String” features the works of Manuel Conde, Carlos Francisco, Manny Montelibano, and Jose Tence Ruiz and will be on view at the Vargas Museum in the Univesity of the Philippines in Diliman until February 18, 2017.

The first that one sees from the entrance is a glass-and-light sculpture that depicts the Pasig River winding its way across Manila. The light from it pierces the dark room with clarity, a kind of cleanliness that stands as a metaphor for the river of the past.

On December 9, 2016, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and the Office of Senator Loren Legarda will open the homecoming of Tie A String Around The World – The Philippine Pavilion, which will be at the UP Vargas Museum, Diliman, Quezon City until February 18, 2017.
