Lingkod Loren Gifts Malabon Residents with Seedlings, Books, Medical, Dental & Breast Check-Ups

IN CELEBRATION OF SENATOR LOREN LEGARDA’S BIRTHDAY, THE LINGKOD LOREN, A HUMANITARIAN PROGRAM OF LEGARDA, WILL CONDUCT AN ADVOCACY FAIR IN THE CITY OF MALABON, WHERE THE SENATOR GREW UP, ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2011.
The advocacy fair aims to benefit residents of Barangays San Agustin, Potrero, and Tañong through various activities such as: medical and dental mission with doctors from the National Kidney and Transplant Institute and the Department of Health; dentists from the Filipino-Chinese Dental Foundation, Bobby Co., Sanofi-Aventis, GSK, and Pharex; free breast check-ups by the Bessie B. Legarda (BBL) Memorial Foundation and doctors from Gift2Life; and a feeding activity sponsored by the Senator’s Office.
Other highlights of the program include the graduation of trainers of the BBL Livelihood Program, donation of books from the Libro ni Loren Foundation to the Malabon National High School, and the distribution of fruit-bearing seedlings.
Senator Legarda’s advocacy fair will be held at the Malabon Amphitheater. She will be joined by Malabon officials headed by Mayor Canuto Senen Oreta, Vice Mayor Antolin Oreta III, and Congresswoman Josephine Lacson-Noel.
