Legarda victory, a victory for Antique
May 13, 2025Senator Loren Legarda today lauded the reelection of her brother, Antique Lone District Representative Antonio “AA” Legarda, calling it not just a personal triumph but a victory for the people of Antique. She emphasized that their brand of leadership is rooted in genuine public service and a shared commitment to uplift the lives of Antiqueños.
Since first being elected in 2022, Representative “AA” Legarda has built on the legacy of his sister, who once served as Antique’s lone district representative and is the only Antiqueña to have become Deputy Speaker of the House. Their leadership has focused on strengthening social services—particularly in healthcare, education, and livelihood—while also pushing for key infrastructure projects such as the Antique Airport in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique Convention Center, Paliwan and Nasuli-Vilvar Bridges, Pandan Ecotourism Road, and the Panay East-West Road, among many projects that will open up Antique to the provinces of Iloilo, Aklan, Capiz through other routes. This will generate tourism, and foster trade of goods.
Loren Legarda remarked as she thanked Antiqueños for their continued trust and support.
Senator Legarda assured the public that her brother and she will continue to advance development initiatives pledging her full support to efforts in delivering meaningful progress for the province and its people.
