Legarda Steadily Rises In Surveys

March 11, 2010

The poll results of NP-NPC-LDP vice presidential candidate Loren Legarda has been steadily improving with closest rival Mar Roxas’ lead having gone down by four percentage points compared to the SWS survey results in January.
In the Manila Standard Today (MST) survey, Legarda is similarly shown to be getting stronger and with a high conversion rate. She is at 28 percent.
The 5 March survey released by Pulse Asia showed that Loren is the top choice of the masses. She leads the race among the class-E voters of the socio-economic scale, which forms a majority of the country’s voters. Roxas, however, leads among the elite circles and AB classes.
“Manny and I are who we are today because of our hard work. Nothing was given to us on a silver platter. We did not inherit wealth nor political clout. We know the value of perseverance,” she said.
Referring to the recent Pulse Asia survey released wherein she trailed 16 points behind rival Mar Roxas, she vowed that “the Filipino people, as far as I can see, are united in choosing more transparent, independent, pro-poor and more experienced candidates.”
