Legarda: PAL’s Additional Flights to Antique a Good Sign of Progress

April 20, 2019

Senator Loren Legarda today said that Philippine Airlines (PAL) will fly three times a week from Clark International Airport to Antique airport, and vice versa, starting April 25, 2019.

Legarda, who is running for Congresswoman of Antique and fondly called “Inday Loren” by Antiqueños, said that the increased direct flights to the province is a good sign of progress.

Aside from the Sunday and Tuesday flights, PAL will now have direct flights to and from Antique every Thursday.

“We have been receiving feedback that many of the PAL flights from Clark to Antique and Antique to Clark were fully booked since its inaugural flight last December. We are thankful to the management of PAL for deciding to increase the flights to Antique to accommodate more tourists and Antiqueños alike. This additional flight schedule after only four months is a clear indication of success—both of Antiqueños patronizing these flights and more tourists visiting our province,” said Legarda.

It was through Legarda’s efforts that PAL is now servicing direct flights to Antique. The Senator supported the allocation of funding for the expansion and improvement of the airport in San Jose de Buenavista, the capital town of Antique, and closely worked with government agencies to ensure its timely completion.

On December 16, 2018, PAL had its inaugural flight to the newly renovated and reopened airport in San Jose de Buenavista and has been flying to Antique twice a week.

Starting April 25, PAL Express will fly to Antique thrice a week, on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, departing from Clark International Airport at 6:00am and arriving at Antique Airport in San Jose de Buenavista at 7:20am. Return flight leaves Antique Airport at 7:40am and arrives at Clark International Airport at 9:00am.
