Legarda: PAL To Have Direct Flights to Antique Starting December 16

November 14, 2018

Senator Loren Legarda today announced that the Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s flag carrier, would have direct flights to Antique starting December 16, 2018.

Scheduled every Sunday and Tuesday, the PAL flight will depart from Clark Airport at 6:00am and arrive in San Jose, Antique at 7:20am. Its return flight will leave Antique at 7:40am and arrive in Clark at 9:00am.

Legarda said that direct flights to Antique would help promote local tourism and spur local economy.

“Direct flights to San Jose will not only be of interest to Antiqueños but also to tourists. Once people learn that there are now direct flights to Antique, it will make them curious about what’s in store for them in the province. This is an opportunity for us to promote our ecotourism sites,” said Legarda.

The Senator allocated funding for the expansion and improvement of the airport in San Jose and closely worked with government agencies to ensure its timely completion.

“Antique has so much potential for growth. We want to develop our province through the sustainable management of our natural resources, promotion of ecotourism, and preservation of our cultural heritage. This is what people would discover in this beautiful province where the mountains meet the sea,” Legarda concluded.
