Legarda dadalo sa pagtitipon ng El Shaddai sa HK

SA BISPERAS NG ARAW NG MGA PUSO DADALO SI SEN. LOREN LEGARDA, NA UMAKANDIDATO BILANG BISE PRESIDENT, SA ISANG PAGTITIPON NG EL SHADDAI SA HONG KONG, KASAMA ANG KANYANG RUNNING MATE NA SI MANNY VILLAR.
Isang pagkakataon ang pagtitipon na makausap ang ilan sa mga lmay 150,000 na Pilipinong manggagawa sa Hong Kong. Karamihan sa kanila ay mga domestic helper o nasa service at entertainment industry.

She authored of some of the country’s most significant laws, such as the Clean Air Act, Climate Change Act, Agri-Agra Law and the Solid Waste Management Act, the Barangay Livelihood and Skills Training Act, the Magna Carta for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children Act, the Philippine Ear Research Institute Act, the Philippine Tropical Fabric Law, the Rubber Institute Law, the Anti-Child Labor Law, the Anti Trafficking in Persons Act, and the the Eid’ul Fitr Holiday Law.
“Let the elections be a battle of platforms and ideas. The Filipino people know my capability, goals and my convictions. They know where my heart belongs and I leave it up to the public to decide come May 2010,” said Loren.
She added, “I will not use mere popularity to promote my candidacy. I trust that the Filipinos are educated voters and will choose wisely. I have no other ambition than to serve the people and work for a prosperous, just and sustainable Philippine society.”
