Legarda: Congressman AA’s triumph is victory for Antique
May 14, 2025Senator Loren Legarda emphasized a new era of inclusive growth and progress for Antiqueños as Congressman Antonio ‘AA’ Legarda secured his second term, securing a decisive victory with 210,491 votes, as the Representative of the Lone District of Antique following the recently concluded 2025 Midterm Elections.
“It is with immense pride that I express my sincerest congratulations to my brother, Congressman AA, for gaining another chance to continue a legacy of what public service truly means. His triumph during the election is a stern reminder for us to continue and further elevate the brand of leadership that is beneficial to the lives of every Antiqueño,” Legarda said
The senator assured that she will continue to work with the office of Congressman AA in advancing more programs and projects that will benefit all Antiqueños in the Province. For the past few years, the senator has established a kind of leadership in Antique that focuses on strengthening social services, particularly in healthcare, education, and livelihood.
Aside from these, she also focused on pushing for key infrastructure projects in the province, including the Antique Airport in San Jose de Buenavista, the Antique Convention Center, the Paliwan and Nasuli-Vilvar Bridges, and the Pandan Ecotourism Road, among many others.
“I can assure our people in the province that Congressman AA will be able to sustain all the projects that we have spearheaded. As we work together, we will continue to come up with inclusive programs, better opportunities, and a clearer vision for everyone,” the four-term senator conveyed.
“I am grateful for the trust bestowed on my brother. This victory reinvigorates the mandate to combat the real enemy: poverty. We will both work relentlessly to ensure that policies and programs bring tangible benefits to our people, our kasimanwa.
