MANILA, PHILIPPINES — THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH (DOH) YESTERDAY WARNED THE PUBLIC OF THE ADVERSE EFFECTS OF THE PREVAILING EL NIÑO PHENOMENON.

FARM OUTPUT MAY FLATTEN OUT OR EVEN CONTRACT THIS QUARTER AS THE EL NIÑO-INDUCED DRY SPELL DESTROYS BILLIONS OF PESOS WORTH OF SOFT COMMODITIES, ECONOMISTS WARNED ON TUESDAY.
