Senator Loren Legarda invites everyone to watch the fourth episode of the documentary series Our Fragile Earth: Protected Areas of the Philippines, which features the beautiful and pristine island of Coron in Palawan.
“Coron Island is simply a paradise. It boasts of limestones that are 216 million years old with unique ‘karst’ topography, crystal clear lakes and lagoons, and virgin beaches where one can sink his or her tired feet in warm, powdery white sand. It is a place where anyone gets a soul-soothing view of the sun setting in the horizon,” Legarda said.

Senator Loren Legarda strongly condemned the killing of eight (8) Lumads including their chieftain, Datu Victor Danyan, in Barangay Ned, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato last December 3 allegedly by military forces.
Legarda expressed outrage over the incident, noting reports that the victims were farmers who were harvesting their produce when the shooting happened.

Senator Loren Legarda today said that the 2018 national budget, which was already signed by the President into law, will further boost progress for the more than 11 million farmers and fisherfolks in the country.
Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, said that the approved budget of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and attached agencies for next year is Php110.075 Billion, the 7th highest allocation in the 2018 budget.
