PHL Concludes Inaugural Exhibition in Venice Architecture Biennale

The Philippines has successfully completed a back-to-back participation in the Venice Biennale as it concludes its inaugural pavilion, Muhon: Traces of an Adolescent City, in the Architecture Biennale on 27 November 2016.

The Philippines’ participation in the 15th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia came at the heels of its comeback in the 2015 Venice Art Biennale after a 51-year hiatus.

Legarda Lauds Winners of Inaugural Climate and Disaster Resilient LGU Awards

Senator Loren Legarda commended the cities and municipalities that were awarded for implementing innovative strategies to manage climate and disaster risks in line with Philippine environmental laws.

Senator Loren Legarda has received the “Gawad Katutubong Pagkalinga” award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for her invaluable service to the country’s indigenous peoples and relentless efforts in preserving and promoting its traditional culture during the celebration of Dayaw: Philippine International Indigenous Peoples Festival 2016 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
