As the world celebrates World Breastfeeding Week (August 1-7), Senator Loren Legarda today reiterated the importance of breastfeeding and the need to strengthen policies to promote breastfeeding as a way of reducing child mortality rates.

SENATOR Loren Legarda, the new chairperson of Senate finance committee, vowed Wednesday to make the proposed P3-trillion national budget for 2016 “inclusive and attuned to the sustainable development goals.”

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines) — Sen. Loren Legarda was appointed as the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance, Senate Pres. Franklin Drilon announced on Monday (August 3).
