Winning the war on climate change

For 2018, the budget allocation for climate change through national government agencies has substantially increased by 96.7 percent. Climate change-tagged programs, projects and activities have a total share of 7.26 percent of the total budget.

Senator Loren Legarda invites the public to watch the last episode of Dayaw season 5: Pagdiwang at Pasasalamat, showcasing how different Filipinos celebrate, give thanks, and declare their religious faith.

Episode 6 titled, “Si Maria at si Niño” (Celebrating the Virgin) features a significant icon in the Filipino Catholic community, Mary Mediatrix of All Grace, known to devotees as a source of succor and consolation. The documentary tackles her role as a personal symbol of identity and sees how the Catholic traditions of Spain became uniquely and distinctly Filipino through her.

Fifth Hibla Travelling Exhibition Opens in New York, Legarda Elated

Senator Legarda has expressed her elation over the success abroad of the Hibla ng Lahing Filipino Travelling Exhibition as the fifth exhibit opens today in New York.

Legarda said that the travelling exhibitions are offshoots of the National Museum’s Hibla ng Lahing Filipino: The Artistry of Philippine Textiles gallery, which is her brainchild. The first Hibla ng Lahing Filipino Travelling Exhibition was held in London in October 2017, and has since opened in several parts of the world, such as Lisbon, Portugal; Madrid, Spain; and Washington, D.C.
