Legarda made the statement as the Senate adopted and ratified the bicameral conference committee report on the proposed Philippine Innovation Bill, which she principally authored. Senator Loren Legarda today hailed the Senate’s approval on third and final reading of the measure institutionalizing the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and the proposed Community-Based Monitoring System, which are seen to be effective instruments to address poverty.
Legarda said that the 4Ps Bill seeks to institutionalize the program to reduce chronic poverty and promote human capital development in the country.

Senator “Inday Loren” Legarda announced more programs for Antique, such as the operations of FastCat and the University of the Philippines-Visayas extension campus, during her joint birthday thanksgiving celebration with Governor Rhodora “Dodod” Cadiao.
Together with Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corporation (APFC) President Chet Pastrana and Palawan Governor Pepito Alvarez, who has roots in Bugasong, Legarda and Cadiao unveiled the FastCat project, which will connect Antique (Culasi-Caluya) to Mindoro.
