Legarda: PAL To Have Direct Flights to Antique Starting December 16

Senator Loren Legarda today announced that the Philippine Airlines (PAL), the country’s flag carrier, would have direct flights to Antique starting December 16, 2018.

 

Scheduled every Sunday and Tuesday, the PAL flight will depart from Clark Airport at 6:00am and arrive in San Jose, Antique at 7:20am. Its return flight will leave Antique at 7:40am and arrive in Clark at 9:00am.

Legarda Renews Call to Strengthen Disaster Resilience on 5th Yolanda Anniversary

Senator Loren Legarda today renewed her call for communities to heighten resilience to disasters as the nation commemorates today, November 8, the fifth anniversary of Supertyphoon Yolanda.

“Long before Yolanda and more so after, I have knocked on the doors of local government units (LGUs) urging them to implement our environmental laws to build resilience and reduce disaster risks. Disaster preparedness is one of the seven core areas of governance in building sustainably progressive and inclusive communities,” said Legarda, UNISDR Global Champion for Resilience.

Inday Loren Reminds Antiqueños to Prepare for Earthquakes

Senator Loren Legarda today expressed concern over the safety of her kasimanwas after a magnitude 4.7 earthquake jolted the province at 7:45am on Monday. The epicenter was located at the province’s capital, San Jose de Buenavista, but was also felt in neighboring towns, including Iloilo City.

A minute later, another earthquake with magnitude 4.0 hit Sibunag, Guimaras, and was followed a few hours later by a 4.8 magnitude earthquake in Guimbal, Iloilo province.
