Senator Loren Legarda today congratulated her home province of Antique on being selected as host for the 2017 Palarong Pambansa.
“I am delighted that Antique has been chosen to host next year’s Palarong Pambansa. This is an achievement not only for the people of the province but also for the entire Panay region,” said Legarda.
Senator Loren Legarda, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance, said that the proposed 2017 budget of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in the amount of P454.224 billion aims to build communities that are livable, sustainable and resilient.
Senator Loren Legarda said that she sees a bright and exciting future for Philippine contemporary art with the support the government is giving for arts and culture.
Legarda, a staunch advocate of arts and culture, made the statement during the conclusion of the first Curatorial Intensive in Manila by the New York-based Independent Curators International (ICI).
Senator Loren Legarda invites everyone to watch the fourth episode of Dayaw on Thursday, November 24, 6:00pm on the ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) and ANC HD.
The episode, “Buo ang Loob – Shamans and Healers of the Philippines”, looks into the methods of traditional healers and spiritual leaders whose knowledge of the spiritual and natural world make them indispensable to their communities.
