Senator Loren Legarda today said that uniformed personnel of the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will continue to receive their increased combat duty and incentive pay under the 2017 national budget.
Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, said that P12.1 billion has been allocated under the Miscellaneous Personnel Benefits Fund for the said purpose.

Senator Loren Legarda today said that the 2017 national budget includes funding, for the first time, for the Centenarian Law and rice allowance for beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
Funding for the two programs, as well as other programs for indigent Filipinos, especially senior citizens and children, is part of the 2017 budget of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) worth P128 billion.
