The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) led by Atty. Persida Rueda-Acosta has conferred on Senator Loren Legarda the Outstanding Lady Senator Award during the 6th Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Accredited National Convention of Public Attorneys on September 21, 2017 at the Manila Hotel.
Legarda expressed her appreciation for the award, which was conferred in recognition of the Senator’s excellence and to show PAO’s appreciation of all the support she has shown to the agency.
Senator Loren Legarda has vowed to restore the one billion-peso budget of the Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Project of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), which intends to increase the productivity of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by giving them access to efficient technologies, skills, knowledge, and systems.
The Philippines’ representative to the 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale will be known soon as a panel of international and local jurors is set to deliberate on the proposals submitted to the Philippine Arts in Venice Biennale (PAVB) Coordinating Committee.
Legarda also promised CHED that senators will find the best way to fund the free tuition law.
“We passed the law and without the P51 billion in the NEP (National Expenditure Program), we will find it and fund it so that all students will have free tertiary education,” she said.
Senator Loren Legarda encouraged the Philippine National Police (PNP) to allay the public’s qualms on law enforcers’ ability to keep peace and order in the country and regain the people’s full confidence in the police force.
