Senator Loren Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committees on Finance and Foreign Relations, today urged the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to continue strengthening technical cooperation with other nations.
During the briefing on the proposed 2019 budget of the DFA worth Php27.5 billion, Legarda asked the Department to check which countries the Philippines has technical cooperation agreements with and if these have been carried out.
In commemoration of National Heroes’ Day, Senator Loren Legarda said that Filipinos can be their own hero.
“Our national heroes are the brave and selfless Filipinos who fought for peace, justice and independence. As we celebrate National Heroes’ Day, let us emulate their ideals and strive to be heroes in our own right.”
Senator Loren Legarda hailed the unveiling of the 8th language marker or Bantayog-Wika in the country on August 23 in Batangas City, Batangas.
The Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), with the support of the Office of Senator Loren Legarda, launched the Bantayog-Wika for the Tagalog language during the Buwan ng Wika celebration of the Province of Batangas.
The Philippine Pavilion for the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale, has further expounded on its exhibition through its participation in the “Meetings on Architecture” Program of La Biennale di Venezia, said Senator Loren Legarda, the prime mover of the country’s return to the Venice Biennale.
