Senator Loren Legarda, Chairperson of the Senate Committees on Finance and Climate Change, on Wednesday sponsored a bill seeking to determine forestland limits for conservation, protection and development of forest resources in the country.
Legarda has urged the Senate to pass Senate Bill No. 2983 or the proposed Forest Lands Limits Act of 2015, reminding Congress of its duty to preserve the environment through legislation.

Senator Loren Legarda urged the government, particularly agencies comprising the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), to use available disaster funds to prepare for up to three more typhoons expected to hit the country before the year ends.

The final episode of the TV documentary “Dayaw” titled “Parangal Sa Mga Ninuno” narrates the many ways Filipinos can honor their ancestors.
It opens with a segment on the 2015 Dayaw Festival. It is a national gathering of indigenous peoples organized annually by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) to celebrate cultural diversity and promote continuity.

The awesome arts and crafts in gold of the tribal kingdoms dug up in old Butuan are on exhibit at the Asian Society Foundation Center in New York City, no less. Senator Lorna Regina “Loren” B.
