Legarda Urges Filipinos to Emulate Rizal’s Nationalism

Senator Loren Legarda has called on Filipinos to emulate the values and principles of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, especially his nationalism, as the nation commemorates Rizal Day.

“Dr. Jose Rizal was an unparalleled visionary whose thoughts and actions greatly influenced the country’s social and political landscape. His ideas began the revolution that earned us our freedom, and his integrity and nationalism continue to inspire new generations,” she said.

Inday Loren Receives Datu Sumakwel Award from Antiqueños

Senator Inday Loren Legarda today received the “Datu Sumakwel Award”, the highest recognition conferred by the Bugal Kang Antique Awards held at Eagle’s Hotel in San Jose, Antique.

The Datu Sumakwel Award is given to an Antiqueño or juridical persons in recognition of their service for the development of Antique.

Legarda Extends Antique Harvest Fair

Following the success of the first Antique Harvest in Robinsons Place Antique last December 14 to 16, Senator Inday Loren Legarda has extended the run of the fair from December 26 to 30, 2018.

“I am happy with the success of Antique Harvest as we were able to promote our local products and our cultural heritage, at the same time, it brought additional income to our local producers who participated in the fair,” said Legarda, who partnered with the Department of Tourism (DOT) to bring the Philippine Harvest to Antique.

Legarda Urges Antique LGUs to Enhance Local Climate Action and Access Local Climate Fund

Senator Loren Legarda today encouraged local government officials from her home province of Antique to formulate and enhance their own Local Climate Change Action Plans (LCCAPs) and develop project proposals for funding from the People’s Survival Fund (PSF), the country’s national climate adaptation finance mechanism.
