Senator “Inday Loren” Legarda joined an estimated 10,000 residents of Tibiao, Antique in celebrating the town’s rich culture of pottery during its annual Maninihon Festival.
Legarda, the festival’s Guest of Honor, was with Governor Rhodora “Dodod” Cadiao and Vice Governor Edgar Denosta in celebrating this year’s festival which carries the theme “Tibiao Banwang Bilidhon, Kabuhi Pasanyugon, Maninihon Sulugon” or “Tibiao Bayang Sagana, Buhay ay Paunlarin, Mga Manggagawa ng Palayok Ipagdiwang.”

Senator Loren Legarda said she looks forward to the implementation of more programs in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, Germany especially with the opening of its new chancery.
In a speech read by Chargé d’ Affaires Lillibeth Pono during the inauguration of the new chancery of the Philippine Embassy in Berlin, Legarda said she is happy to be able to support the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) by ensuring that its needs and programs are funded under the national budget.

Senator Loren Legarda today said that an additional budget was allocated for the Philippine National Police (PNP), under the Department of Interior and Local Government, for the construction of an Emergency 911 Command Center.
“The 2019 national budget includes the construction of an Emergency 911 Command Center, which will aid the PNP in giving timely response in cases of emergency and assist in facilitating its operations,” said Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance.

Senator Loren Legarda today said that the Department of Health’s (DOH) program to provide quality and affordable health care for Filipinos through the upgrading of health facilities has funding under the 2019 national budget.
Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, said that the Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) has Php15 billion funding for this year. HFEP is the upgrading of health facilities through investments in infrastructure and medical equipment.
