Following the signing of the bicameral conference committee report on the disagreeing provisions of the proposed 2019 General Appropriations Act (GAA), the Senate ratified the said report during its session today, Friday.

Earlier, the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) of Pandan-Libertad-Caluya in Antique also dismissed the Petition for Exclusion filed against Legarda; while last October 2018, the Election Registration Board (ERB) of Pandan, Antique already upheld the transfer of voter registration of Legarda to Barangay Mag-aba in Pandan.

Legarda made the statement as the Senate adopted and ratified the bicameral conference committee report on the proposed Philippine Innovation Bill, which she principally authored. She also thanked Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, Chair of the Senate Committee on Economic Affairs, for sponsoring the measure.
