Senator Loren Legarda filed on Monday, July 4, her first 10 priority bills ahead of the opening of the 19th Congress on July 25.
Legarda’s proposed legislative measures focus on the education sector from both private and public schools, health workers, livelihood for Filipinos and protection for migrant workers.

Senator Loren Legarda has filed a bill regulating the manufacturing, importation and use of single-use products by providing penalties, levies and incentives for industries and consumers.
Called the Single-Use Plastics Regulation and Management Act of 2022, the measure provides an “ambitious yet comprehensive” approach to solving the problem of single-use plastics, Legarda said.

Senator Loren Legarda has refiled a bill that seeks to amend Republic Act 8759 or the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Act of 1999 to include entrepreneurship and provide better employment and entrepreneurial opportunities suited for each Filipino.
