Senator Loren Legarda today said that the continuous improvement of the country’s education system will be among her priorities in her third term in the Senate, stressing support to the Department of Education’s goal of addressing the backlog of classrooms.
Senator Loren Legarda said Tuesday the partial results of the May 13 senatorial elections reflect what should have been the outcome of the 2004 presidential election.

Reelectionist Sen. Loren Legarda today called for the early, possibly advance, payment of honoraria and allowances of teachers who will be conducting election duties, further urging police personnel to ensure that these teachers be adequately protected.
“We are aware of the dangers that these dedicated teachers are facing as deputized election personnel, thus they should be sufficiently shielded from harm,” she pointed out.
