Sen. Loren Legarda today (Wednesday) paid tribute to the country’s workers as they celebrate Labor Day, saying these heroes of hardwork are a valued part of the economy and the country would not function without them.

I really admire Loren for her strength and conviction. She gives 110 percent of herself to everything she does. I know how difficult it is to excel in your career and still be around for your family. Most people focus on one and neglect the other, but Loren has succeeded in both.
