THE Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) has expressed disappointment and sadness over reports that its party mate Sen. Loren Legarda has been the subject of a smear campaign by some groups and individuals who are out to pull her down for consistently topping all pre-election surveys.
Legarda, a member of NPC, has become the target of vicious attacks through text messages and the social media about her alleged inaccurate entries in her statement of assets liabilities and networth (SALN).

Senatoriables from the opposing United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) and other candidates have condemned the demolition job against Team PNoy and Nationalist People’s Coalition reelectionist Sen. Loren Legarda by a fellow candidate in the administration coalition, saying such action should be censured.
It is exactly one week to election day but many voters, believe it or not, are still not certain whom to vote for, judging from the many queries I and fellow journalists get. It is really difficult to choose the right candidates for next Monday’s elections because of the general lack of qualifications and the abundance of factors that disqualify many of them, or at least make them not worthy of our votes.

With less than two weeks before the May 13 elections, reelectionist Sen. Loren Legarda (Nationalist People’s Coalition) sustained her lead in the latest pre-election survey conducted by pollster Pulse Asia.
Legarda, who also topped the Pulse Asia survey last month, got 51.5% votes of those polled. The survey, conducted from April 20 to 22, had 1,800 respondents from a national sample.
