Legarda asserts updated protocols on dam water releases

SENATOR Loren Legarda said Tuesday that the dams in the country should be regulated to prevent flooding in nearby places.
Legarda, who chairs the Senate committee on climate change, reminded the National Power Corporation (Napocor) to ensure that protocols on dam water releases effectively control and not worsen flooding.

Senator Loren Legarda today renewed her call to Filipinos to get involved in efforts towards biodiversity conservation, noting that despite the abundance in natural resources, many Filipinos remain poor and hungry.
