Senator Loren Legarda hailed the passage into law of the Integrated History Act of 2016, which mandates the integration of Filipino-Muslim and Indigenous Peoples history, culture, and identity in Philippine History subjects.

Legarda, UNISDR Global Champion for Resilience, said the government should consider a long-term transition to a low carbon economy but maintained that industrialized nations have greater responsibility to reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
