Senator Loren Legarda commended the cities and municipalities that were awarded for implementing innovative strategies to manage climate and disaster risks in line with Philippine environmental laws.
Ten (10) cities and municipalities are the winners of the inaugural Climate-Adaptive and Disaster-Resilient (CLAD) Awards for Cities and Municipalities, a project of Senator Legarda and the Climate Change Commission.
Senator Loren Legarda has received the “Gawad Katutubong Pagkalinga” award from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for her invaluable service to the country’s indigenous peoples and relentless efforts in preserving and promoting its traditional culture during the celebration of Dayaw: Philippine International Indigenous Peoples Festival 2016 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
