Senator Loren Legarda invites everyone to watch the 7th episode of the documentary series Our Fragile Earth: Protected Areas of the Philippines, featuring Lake Sebu, which is part of the Allah Valley Protected Landscape.

“The Allah Valley Protected Landscape, where Lake Sebu is located, is home to our dreamweavers, the T’boli. Their creativity and imagination in weaving and metal crafting are inspired and nurtured by an abundance of plants, birds, mammals and reptiles all around them,” said Legarda.

Legarda: Better Healthcare for Government Employees Under 2018 Budget

Senator Loren Legarda today said that all employees under the Executive Branch of the Government will receive healthcare benefits comparable to the health insurance plans currently enjoyed by employees of the Legislative Branch.

Legarda, Chair of the Senate Committee on Finance, said that the amount of Php3.5 Billion was allocated under the budget of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) to cover the cost of supplemental health benefits, which shall cover services ranging from preventive and curative, inpatient and outpatient, and other medical expenses in excess of contributions-based case rates.

Legarda: Senate Approves on 2nd Reading PH-EU Cooperation Agreement, Social Security Agreements with Sweden, Germany

Senator Loren Legarda today said that the Senate has approved on second reading the following treaties—the Framework Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation Between the Philippines and the European Union (PH-EU PCA); the Agreement between the Republic of the Philippines and the Federal Republic of Germany on Social Security (PH-Germany SSA); and the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of the Philippines and the Kingdom of Sweden (PH-Sweden SSA).
