Senator Loren Legarda hailed the unveiling of the 8th language marker or Bantayog-Wika in the country on August 23 in Batangas City, Batangas.
The Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino (KWF), with the support of the Office of Senator Loren Legarda, launched the Bantayog-Wika for the Tagalog language during the Buwan ng Wika celebration of the Province of Batangas.
The Philippine Pavilion for the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale, has further expounded on its exhibition through its participation in the “Meetings on Architecture” Program of La Biennale di Venezia, said Senator Loren Legarda, the prime mover of the country’s return to the Venice Biennale.

Senator Loren Legarda, author of Republic Act No. 9849, An Act Declaring Eidul Adha a National Holiday, encouraged everyone to join in the celebration of Eidul Adha.
“I greet all our Muslim brothers and sisters as they celebrate Eidul Adha. I hope that all Filipinos, regardless of religion or belief, can also reflect on the lessons that this feast signifies,” said Legarda.
The Philippine Pavilion exhibition at the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale titled Muhon: Traces of an Adolescent City opened in Davao City on August 14 at the Ateneo de Davao University. The exhibition will run until October 12, 2018.
The opening day featured a lecture with the curators, artists and architects in order to initiate a discussion on the future of the country as we continue to build our towns and cities. The talk and the exhibit elicited views and opinions that discuss the vectors of progress and permanence in relation to corresponding notions of modernity and an emerging identity.
